Dear Friends,
I am extremely grateful to all for reposing faith in me for leading Association for the year 2008-09. I record my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the past Presidents for the relentless work done and shall accept this challenging task with humility. While during last year, a lot of new initiatives were taken, I look forward to enhance the pace of our progress and some of the areas identified for strategic focus and implementation during the year is elaborated as below:
CAPITAL MARKET GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
 To pursue conversion of ANMI into a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) and broad basing ANMI membership with induction of BSE members as well.
To actively participate and provide Inputs in various Government, Regulator and Exchange initiatives and Committees relating to Capital markets.
Conducting Training Programmes for "Better Compliance" and "Growth Opportunities" for members.
Conducting "Investment Awareness Programmes" with SEBI and NSEIL at various Regions.
To initiate ANMI Excellence Award in Securities Market Research.
Organizing International Seminar with wide participation.
To formulate Operational Manual and develop Handbook on Capital Market Topics.
INTERACTING WITH MEMBERS CLOSELY
To promote interaction with various members across the country.
To create a useful e-mailing system.
To initiate periodic Magazine at National level.
To create chapters at various regions so as to extend ANMI network.
To have a All India Members Directory.
INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVES
Participating in major events organized by IOSCO, ICSA, JSDA etc.
Having bilateral co-operation and programme initiatives with major Regulatory Bodies and Self-Regulatory Organization.
To formulate training programme and modules for members in line with understanding reached with Securities Investment Institute, United Kingdom.
To have co-operation/partnership with various Overseas Regulators in formulation and running of SRO.
To undertake Study tour of members abroad towards Understanding Overseas Markets.
I shall continue to articulate genuine needs and interest of our members with various authorities on regular basis and shall look forward to continued encouragement, guidance and committed support from all the members and particularly past Presidents.
I request all members and regional offices to visit our recently launched website “www.anmi.in” regularly and I am sure that together we shall progress must faster. I once again thank the members for reposing faith in me and assure my commitment to serve the Association to the best of ability.
